First of all, it is important that you don't download unknown software or things from the internet. You should also avoid visiting the adult websites as they mostly contain traces of viruses and malware.

You can clean Chrome of unwanted ads, pop-ups, & malware by keeping in mind the following things.

1: Remove unwanted programs from Chrome (Windows only)

If you are using Windows or a similar operating system, you should use the Chrome Cleanup Tool that scans your computer for malware and suspicious programs, offering the best ways to remove all of them. If you are using a Linux or Mac computer, you should move to the next step. Go to the Chrome Cleanup Tool option on the Windows computer and download the software as early as possible. Click Accept and Download and give it some time to get downloaded. Once the downloading is complete, Windows will ask you to either run the file or not; you have to click the Run option so that the Chrome Cleanup Tool can accurately scan your device. You should also click the Remove option to get rid of suspicious programs and viruses.

Then you should click on the Advanced and Reset options to reset your browser settings, and this works for any computer or mobile devices.
